What do you want Raptors fans to take away from this collection?
It’s really a celebration of our differences... there is a commonality in those differences–that’s what brings us together.
What does Cut Different mean to you?
Cut Different is about taking unconventional and unexpected approaches to all aspects of design.

How did the idea of Cut Different, and the partnership between the Raptors and Ruffles, inform the various aspects of the apparel line’s design?
I wanted to use the Cut Different theme and portray that in the different details... the stitches, the pockets, the seams.

Canadian-Ghanian fashion designer Spencer Badu is inspired by a youthful rebellion with clear references from the '90s & early '2000s.
He is influenced by the juxtaposition of cross-cultural elements resulting in bold shapes, intentional use of color & an ongoing curiosity to challenge garment construction.
